If you keep your books in QuickBooks, Stockroom can send your purchase orders straight there. The sync is powered by MyWorks Sync, a separate free app - connect it once, then push any PO from Stockroom.
Connect MyWorks Sync
QuickBooks syncing runs through MyWorks Sync. Install and connect it from its Shopify App Store listing - you will find a Connect to MyWorks link during onboarding and on your Stockroom home screen. It works with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, and it is free to connect. Push a PO from Stockroom
Once connected, each purchase order shows a Push to QuickBooks card. When the PO is ordered, click Push:
QuickBooks Online - Stockroom sends it right away, and the card shows Synced - view in QuickBooks with a link to the document.
QuickBooks Desktop - the push is queued for your next Web Connector run; the card shows Waiting on Web Connector until QuickBooks pulls it.
If a push fails, the card shows the error and a Try again button.
See sync status on the list
The Purchase orders list has a QuickBooks column. A Synced badge deep-links to the document in QuickBooks; a Sync error badge shows what went wrong on hover.
Good to know
Only ordered purchase orders can be pushed - a draft has nothing to send yet.
The accounting choice you make during onboarding just tailors your setup; the actual QuickBooks edition comes from your connected MyWorks Sync account.
