Are you currently using Shopify or WooCommerce and needing to change from one to the other? Since MyWorks Sync supports both WooCommerce and Shopify, this shouldn't be a disruption to how you sync with QuickBooks Online or Desktop.

We've compiled a list of helpful tips below to consider as you plan your move between WooCommerce or Shopify.

Moving from WooCommerce to Shopify?

You'll no longer need the MyWorks extension in your WooCommerce store. You can remove this and cancel your WooCommerce Sync plan with us in your MyWorks account here when you're finished syncing your WooCommerce store.

Then, visit your Shopify store, and add the MyWorks app to your Shopify store through the Shopify App Store. Billing is handled directly through Shopify, and you'll be able to choose a plan after adding our app to your store.

Follow the prompts to connect our sync to your QuickBooks Online or Desktop company, and you'll be able to configure our sync's mappings and settings, then begin syncing when ready.

Moving from Shopify to WooCommerce?

You'll no longer need the MyWorks app in your Shopify store. You can remove this from your Shopify store - and once it's uninstalled, billing will cease.

Then, visit the MyWorks Plans page, where you can choose and sign up for our WooCommerce sync. Once your account is created, you can follow the prompts to easily add our extension to your WooCommerce store, connect to QuickBooks Online or Desktop, and configure our sync's mappings and settings, then begin syncing when ready.

Helpful tips

  • Take a look at your order numbers after your move between WooCommerce and Shopify is complete. Make sure MyWorks is configured to handle your order numbers as desired - and they're not overlapping with any existing order numbers already in QuickBooks.

  • MyWorks will need to be reconfigured once it's installed on your new store. It's not possible to import/export settings or mappings. However, the interface is the same between WooCommerce and Shopify, and normally takes just minutes to re-setup.
