In some cases you may need to change connecting your Shopify store with MyWorks to a different QuickBooks Desktop company.
This normally is necessary if you are:
- Are using a staging/duplicate QuickBooks company to test our sync
- Need to switch to a new/different QuickBooks company file
- Have upgraded your QuickBooks company to a new major version
- Have changed computers/servers that your QuickBooks company is on
Here's the steps to do so:
- In your Shopify admin, visit the MyWorks Sync > Connection menu.
- On that page, click the “Download QuickBooks Connection File” button.
- On your QuickBooks computer, with your new QuickBooks company open and logged in; double click this connection file to open and add it to your Web Connector.
If you've connected to a different QuickBooks company, you may need to review your settings and mappings to update them with data from your new QuickBooks Desktop company. To do so:
- Visit MyWorks Sync > Settings, and review the settings you currently have set, then save.
- Visit MyWorks Sync >Map, and visit your product, variation and payment methods to ensure they're mapped as you desire; then save.
