MyWorks includes support to sync Shopify orders accurately to QuickBooks when multiple currencies are present in the Shopify store and/or the QuickBooks company. This includes support for several different scenarios, including:
- Shopify stores that have several currencies enabled, which are also enabled in QuickBooks.
- Shopify stores that have several currencies enabled, but only a single currency present in QuickBooks.
Overview
If the Shopify order currency is enabled in QuickBooks, MyWorks will honor the currency of the order in Shopify, including passing the correct exchange rate for the order into the order in QuickBooks, if the currency is not the Base currency configured in QuickBooks.
If the Shopify order currency is not enabled in QuickBooks, MyWorks will sync the order to QuickBooks using the Base currency enabled in QuickBooks, and convert the Shopify order amounts to the QuickBooks Base currency.
Configuration
If multiple currencies are enabled in your QuickBooks company, simply visit MyWorks Sync > Settings > Default, and choose the the currencies enabled in QuickBooks. This tells MyWorks which currencies are supported to be used as we sync orders into QuickBooks.
If multiple currencies are enabled in your Shopify store, you can control which QuickBooks bank account an order should sync into based on the currency used in Shopify. Visit MyWorks Sync > Settings > Payment Methods, and you'll be able to select a QuickBooks bank account separately for each currency you accept.
Once selected, MyWorks will sync orders to QuickBooks following the Shopify order's currency into the bank account of your choice in QuickBooks.
