The Create PO tile on Shopify POS builds purchase orders as you walk the floor, without opening Stockroom admin. To add the tile to your smart grid, see Use Stockroom on Shopify POS.
Scan items onto a draft
From the tile's first screen:
Tap Scan items and scan anything running low, or Find products to search the catalog.
Each item lands on a draft PO for its supplier at that location. Scanning the same item again adds to it.
Open a draft to adjust quantities, add a Reference (an invoice number, a shelf, a customer - it shows on the purchase order in Stockroom) with Save reference, or leave an Internal note with Add note. Notes go onto the order's History in Stockroom with your name and the time, and are never printed or emailed.
Then Mark as ordered (with a quick confirm) to push incoming stock to Shopify.
Costs and supplier emails stay in Stockroom admin, so you can finish the paperwork later.
A delivery that mixes brands
For a delivery that mixes brands, use Delivery with no PO on the tile's first screen. Type the Distributor name and, optionally, the Invoice number, then tap Start. Stockroom makes one draft PO for that distributor, and everything you scan or add with Find products goes on it, whatever vendor the product has in Shopify. A banner like Adding to PO-1014 - Acme Distributing shows while you work, and Finish and review opens the draft. The invoice number is saved as the PO's Reference. A name matching a supplier you already have uses that supplier, and any other name creates one. Start always makes a new PO.
To add to a draft later, open it and tap Scan more items onto this PO. Scan items on its own makes one draft per supplier.

The scan screen and quantity per scan
The scan screen has an Enter a barcode or SKU box with an Add button. Scan with no field selected, or into that box - it is where a keyboard-style scanner should type. You can also type a code there and tap Add.
Quantity per scan sets how many each scan adds - 12 for a case - and stays set until you change it. Use - and +, tap 1, 6, 12 or 24, or tap Custom to type any whole number up to 999 in Units per scan and tap Save. A number longer than four digits is refused as a barcode, so a scan that lands in the wrong place cannot add thousands of units. An item added with Find products still adds 1.

Who made each draft
Every draft records who made it: the staff member pinned into the register, not the account POS was signed in with. On the purchase order in Stockroom, the History section reads Created in POS · by that person, with the date and time. The first time someone with no name on file uses the tile, it shows Who's ordering? and asks for their name once.
Good to know
Delivery with no PO not showing? Close the Shopify POS app fully and reopen it to load the updated tile.
A product needs a vendor in Shopify so Stockroom can match it to a supplier.
Marking a PO ordered on POS makes it appear in the Receive stock tile's To receive list.
