Migrating from OneSaaS / QuickBooks Connector to MyWorks Sync

Intuit retired OneSaaS (QuickBooks Connector) and replaced it with a built-in Shopify connector. Here's how it compares to MyWorks Sync, and how to switch without duplicate orders.

In 2026, Intuit retired OneSaaS - also known as QuickBooks Connector, or Connect to Shopify by QuickBooks - the free app that synced Shopify with QuickBooks Online. It was replaced by a rebuilt connector (Shopify Connector by QuickBooks) that lives inside QuickBooks Online, managed from the Integration transactions page. Existing OneSaaS users were migrated automatically.

Since that migration, a steady stream of former OneSaaS users have switched to MyWorks Sync after hitting problems with the new connector - orders missing, orders duplicating, and workflows the new connector simply doesn't support. This article covers what actually changed, how MyWorks Sync compares, and how to switch over cleanly without creating duplicates in your books.

What changed when Intuit retired OneSaaS

The new connector is not an upgrade of OneSaaS - it's a different product with a different design. These limitations come straight from Intuit's own migration guide (as of August 2026):

  • No inventory sync. In Intuit's words: the new connectors "don't yet offer two-way inventory sync... you'll need to update your inventory levels in both QuickBooks and your e-commerce platform." If OneSaaS was keeping your stock levels in sync, that stopped at migration.

  • Orders can't sync as unpaid. The new connector "can't import orders as unpaid." If you invoice customers and collect payment later - wholesale, B2B, net terms, draft orders - there is no supported workflow.

  • It syncs every few hours, not continuously, and orders land in a For review queue to be confirmed rather than posting straight to your books.

  • Individual transactions only. There's no option to post a daily or per-payout summary instead of every single order.

  • Your mappings may not survive. Intuit's FAQ notes "you might need to re-establish your product and customer mappings during your first sync" - and an overlapping sync start date creates duplicate transactions, which is exactly what many migrated stores found in their books.

The new connector is free, and that shows most in support: questions go to a shared inbox or in-product chat, and merchants who've come to us describe long waits and few real answers. If your books depend on the sync working every day, free can end up being the most expensive option - you pay for it in accounting cleanup instead.

How MyWorks Sync compares

MyWorks Sync is a purpose-built Shopify and QuickBooks Online sync - it's all we do, and it's backed by a support team that knows both platforms deeply.

How to switch to MyWorks Sync

The whole switch typically takes under 30 minutes. The order of these steps matters - it's what prevents duplicates.

  1. Disconnect the QuickBooks connector first. In QuickBooks Online, go to Integrations > Manage integrations, find the Shopify connector, and select Disconnect from its three-dot menu. Never run both integrations at once - each will post the same orders, and you'll get duplicates.

  2. Note the last date it synced. Check the most recent Shopify order the QuickBooks connector created in your books. This is your cutover point - MyWorks takes over from the next order on.

  3. Install MyWorks Sync from the Shopify App Store and connect your QuickBooks Online company on the Connection page.

  4. Map your existing QuickBooks data. On the Map page, use automatic mapping to match your existing QuickBooks customers and products to Shopify. This is the step that makes MyWorks update what OneSaaS already created in your books instead of creating it again.

  5. Turn on automatic sync. In Settings, open the Automatic Sync tab and enable Order - plus Customer, Product / Variation, and anything else you'd like synced automatically. New orders sync on their own from here.

  6. Backfill any gap. If some orders fell between the old connector stopping and MyWorks starting, go to Push > Orders, select just those orders, and push them.

  7. Spot-check your first synced orders. Open one in QuickBooks and confirm the totals, taxes, and customer look right. If you find duplicates left over from the migration, see Troubleshooting duplicate orders in QuickBooks Online - it shows how to tell which app created each transaction.

Good to know

  • If all you need is basic paid-order import and payout matching, the free connector may be enough, if you're comfortable with limited support. The merchants who switch to MyWorks are the ones who need inventory sync, unpaid invoices, summaries, faster syncing, real control over how transactions post - and someone to answer when something's off.

  • Order sync is available on every MyWorks plan. Inventory sync and payout sync are available on the Grow plan and above.

  • If QuickBooks already created duplicate transactions before you switched, clean those up in QuickBooks after disconnecting the old connector - once your products and customers are mapped, MyWorks won't re-create them.

  • Our support team has walked many former OneSaaS and QuickBooks Connector users through this exact switch. Reach out via live chat, or book a free setup call from the app - we're happy to double-check your settings before you turn sync on.
