In the Daily Summary that MyWorks syncs to QuickBooks for Shopify orders that are placed and paid at the same time; MyWorks also supports correctly recording the Accounts Receivable (A/R) activities for two other scenarios:
- Orders placed today, but not yet paid;
- Orders placed previously, and paid today.
In both of the above scenarios, either sales income (but no payment) needs to be recorded; or a payment (but no sales income).
The desired A/R account can be easily set by visiting MyWorks Sync > Settings > Order, as shown below.

MyWorks correctly handles these scenarios in the Daily Summary by adjusting your Accounts Receivable in QuickBooks accordingly:
- Orders placed today, but not yet paid, will have their sales correctly recorded to the appropriate income accounts, and the balance debited to Accounts Receivable.
- Orders placed on previous days, but paid today, will have their payment correctly recorded to the corresponding bank account in QuickBooks, and credit the Accounts Receivable by that amount.
